A Rocky Romance
Dear Guidance Guy,
There's this girl at school. I think she is pretty so I asked her to one of the school dances and she said yes. I was really surprised she said yes. Then at the dance I asked her out. She said yes almost instantly. I was so excited. We have been going out for about two weeks and a couple days.
Here's my problem. She has a lot of friends and most of them are saying I don't like her anymore which is the most
untrue thing. She always calls me at night around 6:00 with her friend. At school her friend tells her she should dump me. The other night she called me and her friend said there's a dance in two weeks. She said "you guys can go together if you are still going out." The friend said this as if my girlfriend and I were going to break up.
I hope you can understand my problem of most of my girlfriend's friends wanting us to break up. I hope you can help me.

Dear Kid,
It seems as if your girlfriend is a bit on the immature side. If she's calling you while her friends are around it makes it harder for the two of you to have a real conversation. Maybe you can ask her to call while she's alone. Or maybe you can tell her you'll call her later while no one else is around. If you think she may actually not like you enough to want to go out, you can always come out and ask her. Tell her how you really feel about her, and find out the same from her. If she doesn't give you a straight answer, or if she shares too much information with her friends, this may not be the girl for you. Or it just may not be the right time for a relationship between the two of you.
But I have to compliment you, Kid. You seem like you really want this to work. This girl is lucky to have you. If she doesn't treat you the right way, you will certainly find someone who will.
All The Best,
The Guidance Guy

That's sad. I mean, about ur girfriend. If she really liked you as a person, she would pay no mind to what her friends said. And if that persists, you should really talk to her.
