My Teacher's Son Asked Me Out!
Dear Guidance Guy,
I have a teacher who I absolutley HATE! Yesterday, his son asked me out! I still haven't responded. My teacher knows and made this joke, "If you don't go out with my son, I'll fail you!" So I was actually scared!. Should I say yes? He's not even my friend, he's actually aHUGE geek. What should I do?

Dear Teddybear,
That was one giant piece of bad judgement on the teacher's part to say that to you. Whether it was joking or not, it puts all kinds of added pressure on your decision. And that choice would obviously have been no, since he's a HUGE geek. It also calls into question any bad grade you might get on a test that isn't fill in the blank or multiple choice.
No, you do not have to go out with him. And I think you should ignore your teacher. Most likely he realizes he made a big mistake and will either apologize or try and pretend it never happened. If he does say something like that again, I would tell him you feel uncomfortable with his saying that. And I would tell your parents as well.
