Long Distance Relationship
Dear Guidance Guy,
My ex and I still like each other a lot. I really want to get back together with him, and he wants to get together with me too. The problem is that we never see each other anymore. We go to different schools, so we barely have time to talk. What should I do? Should we get back together?

Dear Crazy,
Some of this depends on how old you are, how much access you have to transportation and how strongly you feel about each other. The first thing I'd be interested in is what caused you to break up in the first place. Many times the sense of wanting things to be the way they used to be is a reason people get back together. Whatever caused the break up - is it better? Or are you lonely and willing to go out with a guy even though you won't see much of him. Only you can answer that question.
If you do decide to get back together, you might want to decide what getting back together actually means. Will you have an exclusive relationship where neither of you dates other people? Seems kind of tough to do, especially since you won't be seeing or talking to each other very much. Will you be "seeing each other" with options to date other people as well? Can you be really good friends and leave the relationship option open for a better time? These are all things the two of you get to decide.
Best of Luck,
The Guidance Guy
