Two Best Friends, One Guy
Dear Guidance Guy,
I have a best friend who is like, in love with this kid. I don't want to hurt her feelings but I think I might like him too. But I don't know him that well at all. I don't know if I should tell her and maybe I shouldn't but she always tells me everything. What should I do?

Dear Very,
From the looks of your letter, no one has done anything to approach this young man. So the first thing I'd want to know is if either of you are letting him know how you feel. Most of the guy/girl relationship - at least the good ones anyway - don't start with someone telling someone else they like them. They start off as friendships and grow into something bigger.
If you plan to like him and not do too much about it and she plans on doing the same thing, I don't see any reason why both of you shouldn't like him. Remember, he gets to choose who he likes, if either of you. If you want to tell her because you like sharing everything with your friend, you can definitely do that. At this stage it seems like the friendship is more important than liking this guy.
