New To Country, New To School
Dear Guidance Guy,
I'm having some trouble at school. See, I'm the best behaved kid at school and everyone thinks I'm a straight A student. Because I'm new and have no friends I just let them think that. But now that I'm getting bad grades at school and I need a new strategy to either make friends or raise my grades, both if possible.
I really need your help. I'm new to school and I'm new to the country. I'm in 7th grade if that helps any. Please anwser me.Wish I had A's

Dear Wish,
It's very common for new kids to be "adopted" by other kids in school, meaning they are welcomed and made to feel comfortable. If this isn't happening with you, maybe going to your school's counselor and asking for help would be a good start. The best way to make friends is to be interested in the people around you. It's almost guaranteed they'll be interested in you right back.
The easiest way to raise your grades is to talk with your teachers and find out how you can improve. It might be something very simple, like studying a different way. In fact, one way you can take care of both your problems is to get help from a student who is doing well. Your grades will improve and you'll have a new friend, all at the same time!
Hope That Helps,
The Guidance Guy
