Two Guys, One Girl

Dear Guidance Guy,

I have two best friends. All three of us are best friends. I am a girl and they are guys. Derek and I like each other and Frankie knows it. My classmates tell meFrankie likes me but I have had a crush on Derek for like six months; same with him. We haven't got together because we thought Frankie would feel, you know, left out.

I don't know what to do! Should Derek and I go to the movies? What should I do about Frankie?

Between Two Worlds

P.S. My friend likes a teacher and is woried it will affect her learning, what should she do?

Dear Between,

If Frankie already knows you like Derek, it won't surprise him to see the two of you try going on a date. Going to the movies isn't exactly getting engaged, so if things don't work out, it shouldn't be too big a deal. Frankie gets to decide how he wants to deal with this. One thing you can do though is to go somewhere alone with Frankie - just as friends. This way he won't feel so left out.

As for your friend liking a teacher, tell her to write me. I'll be happy to answer her.

Thanks for your letter,
The Guidance Guy
