He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
Dear Guidance Guy,
There is this boy. I really like him. This is my second year with him in my class. Last year I asked him out and he said maybe. Then everyone started to bother him like "what are you gonna say?" So I told him to forget it. Now he and I know each other more and he came with me to the movies for my birthday. I invited him again to another movie but he was punished. But he invited me to see a movie when he isn't punished. I talk to him on the phone sometimes, and in school. What do you think I should do? Leave it? Ask him out? Something else? I don't know. Help please!
Signed,
He loves me; He loves me not.

Dear He Loves Me,
I think it's cool you were confident enough to ask him out. It looks like you're both growing up and are able to talk honestly with each other. Here's one choice you can make: keep being honest and open. Ask him how he feels! Tell him how you feel about him. Tell him you're interested in going to the movies.
I don't want to tell you what you should do though. This is personal stuff. It depends how sure you are of yourself. The only thing I'm sure of is that you should completely ignore what your friends say. This is between you and him. Keep it that way.
Hope That Helps,
The Guidance Guy
