Going Out (and Other Choices)
Dear Guidance Guy,
I like this boy named Brendan and I think he likes me and so I really want him to ask me out. But his parents won't let him go anywhere or go out with anyone. Ireally like this guy. What should I do?
Sadly,

Dear Confused,
I'm guessing you're both on the younger side, or this wouldn't be an issue. So if going out with him isn't an option, spend as much time with him as you can during school. Before school, lunchtime, after school - all of these might be times you and he can hang out together. There's also the phone, IM and email.
I know, I know...it's not the same as going out to a REAL place. You can always go in your imagination. And if you're feeling really brave, you can share it with him. Be careful though. You don't want to scare him off. Keep this light and fun.
Hang in there. Before you know it you'll both be old enough to go out. And if Brendan is lucky, you'll still want to go with him!
Your Pal,
The Guidance Guy
