Annoying Best Friend
Dear Guidance Guy,
My best friend is annoying the heck out of me this whole summer. What should I do??

Dear Karen,
It depends on what is happening that causes you to be annoyed. Most of the time it's because you simply spend too much time together. Try going a few places without her, maybe with another friend or with family. Of course I wouldn't be surprised if she asks if she could go with you. If this happens, let her know you decided this is a "family only" trip. It would be much easier if you didn't tell her before you left.
My guess is that your friend is lonely and feels like there is no one else for her to be with. So even if she is annoying, be happy that she thinks you're cool enough to spend the summer with. And before you know it, it will be over and school will start up again. Then you'll both have a bunch of new people to hang out with.
